Great looking quilt that keeps her warm and cheers her up bet she's glad you had that nagging feeling she could use a quilt.

"Why are hospital and dr. office's so cold? Doesn't make any sense when you are sick to be cold!!"

Yeah, we're the ones who have to get undressed while the docs and hospital personnel are wearing lab coats over their clothes. May in Jersey

What an awesome quilt. I love the blocks, what a great way to use up scraps. I'm sure your sister was very appreciative and will enjoy it away from the hospital too.

This block is Billie Lauder's Battlefield. I saw it as a finished quilt in the yahoo stashbusters group in november. I don't have the pattern. I just used a 6 inch finished center and the strips are 1 inch finished, to make a 10 inch finished block. 10.5 inches unfinished.

My sister is doing well. No new problems. We already knew she had a leaking valve but it is not getting any worse.

what a lovely sis you are. And not only is it warm -- It is cheerful and bright. I'll bet the nurses love to see a happy cover on the bed too

I hope things turn out well for her

Very nice! I sure have a soft spot for scrappies. Glad to hear you followed your instincts, and I'm sure your sister is too.
