I am excited about this, am thinking of posting on Carol's board asking advice for choosing colors. I want to do the blocks but do not have time to pick individual colors each week. Have been reading advice from here also. Looking forward to starting.

My hubby was buying a couple of small books for our daughter on amazon. He came up alittle short to get their free postage. So me being the helpful one said, "I have a little book I've been meaning to order." YEAH me!!!! Now I just need the CDs. Merry Christmas!!!

I've had my book for several years so it didn't include the pattern CD. However, because it was older and I'd used it quite a bit, I found it quite easy to rip pages out...chatted with a friend on the phone, ripped all the pages and straightened then all with my paper cutter and walla! They are perfect and ready for the page protectors and small binder. I could spend the money, but would rather buy fabric and tools! I think that to tie them all together, I will use one fabric for the background with all of the stars and then will just play with pretty fabrics!

Have had this book for several years as well as the 40 ieced blocks and (shame on me) have not made a single one. This thread has given me a surge of ideas and plan to follow thru. My favorite color is blue so I think it will be the dominating color.

My DH loves blue, so I think I shall do blues and burgandy.

Great idea. Let us know what she says. I, too, am thinking of one background color. Can't decide betweeen light or dark. I'm thinking light would give more color options, but I like the idea of black for a night sky. My book still hasn't arrived so I'm hoping for more ideas then.

[QUOTE=PokerDiva;4797221]My DD's birthday is Christmas Eve

Hey my DD birthday is also on christmas eve. this year she will be 24 on the 24th. Last year while we were working on a family tree we found out that exactly 100 years from the date of my daughters birth 12/24/1987 her great grandfather was also born 12/24/1887. funny how things happen.

Happy birthday to your DD too. My DD will be 46. She was not suppose to live past teen years. She was also never suppose to be able to have children and she has an 18 year old son now so we are happy to celebrate all of her birthdays.

REMINDER: I just wanted to remind those who are printing directly from the book not to forget about adding the 1/4" seam allowance. Of course you will only forget once I am sure because you will be so mad you won't forget again.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking, Carsey!
