Oh, sorry to hear you are hurting, but here is the good news - your muscles are alive! They are just waiting to be woken up! Go slow, build in small increments and before you know it you will be feeling great. Don't give up!!!

btw, never knew you were so old (not trying to offend - I'm not far behind you). I assumed you were a young late 20s/early 30s mom.
I didn't begin motherhood until I was 45. Yeah, 60 is about a year and a half away but looming on the horizon that I seem to be speeding toward--hair's graying, wrinkles deepening, joints groaning, muscles screaming and wayward eyebrows showing up on my top chin. I'm feeling better today, maybe I'll do a little more dancing.........tomorrow. lol

A long soak in a hot bubble bath is definitely recommended. Way to go getting out there and dancing!!!

I joined that "Pain All Over" club a while back. Almost 65, very overweight, arthritis, etc. I joined the local athletic club afew mos. ago. I go M-W-F mornings for Aqua Aerobics in the pool for 45 min. each time. We average about a dozen members each class. After class we get hot showers and then a sauna (10-20 min) We are there about 2 hours. My sister is in the club, too. My doctor was thrilled that my A1C number was down as well as my blood pressure number. So I keep my naproxen (aleve) handy and keep on truckin' Let's hear the SPLASH!

I can certainly feel for everyone I'm worn out just trying to keep up with my 2 grandkids lol I've been to a Zumba class with a friend and I swore I'd never do that again too! I agree we all need exercise for sure so I'm going to start slowly by going back to my aqua aerobics class twice a week that's a solid workout. I agree for pain ice and heat every 20 mins hope you can keep up with all those dance moves!

Wow! You did Rasputin 2x? That would be enough to leave you sore for awhile without the others. That is one serious aerobic dancing song.

I tried it again today. I'm not sure what song DD picked, I didn't recognize it, but I only got about half way through the song before I said, "That's it for today---maybe tomorrow."

My husband's trainer says to sit in cool water and then slowly add hot water. This will take the soreness away in a hurry.Oh, I am aching for you!
