Yes, they are appliqued on. There are 25 different owls, but I wanted my quilt bigger so I picked out 5 or 6 of my favorite and duplicated, but in different fabric. Thanks.............Linda

That's a terrific quilt. Great job!

I graduated from Temple University and the mascot is the owl. I think that quilt would sell for big bucks in Philadelphia.
