Quilted Recliner Slipcover-thing
#88
Home dec weight fabric might be more durable than quilting cotton but I'm not sure whether I would quilt it or not....would just depend on the weight of the fabric. The one I'm going to use for the tute is a poly micro suede that I bought for an upholstery project and didn't use. I've used square of it to protect other chairs from our dogs and it wears well, doesn't wrinkle much and washes up beautifully.
When you see the tute, you'll see that there isn't a pattern involved. I just used the same techniques as making slipcovers, which are not all that hard to do. Before I started quilting a longtime-quilter friend told me that if I could make a slipcover then I certainly could make a quilt! She was right, but I think quilting is harder!
I'll get to work on the tute this weekend and get it posted soon.
Oh...someone asked if the seat portion was a separate piece. No, it's just one long rectangle and you tuck in a little bit at the back of the seat.
