    I think No. 1, because it showcases the stars and looks like many blocks around them.

    I like the second one best. The stars are more subtle, and it appears to have more dimension. Both are lovely, however.

    In the first picture I see stars. In the second, Baby blocks are more predominant, and the star aspect is less noticeable.

    As the other ladies said, it depends on where you want the eye to fall. In V1, the eye is drawn to the stars. In V2, the eye is drawn to the blocks. With that in mind, think what the receiver of the quilt (it could be you) would like. Good luck & let us know which one you decide on, and why. Thanks for sharing.

    I'm for the second one. I see more than the stars as in the first one. Think it will be a terrific scrappy.

    When I look at them I see the opposite! with them all mixed up I see the cubish blocks more than the stars.
