    The tree centre is nice and fits the blades of the plate. I like that.

    i think it depends on your plates---and what look you are going for- i've done a number of them and they are all different- i've had centers with appliqued snowmen on them, fussy cut sunflowers, solid colors with decorative stitching, or embroidery- and prints---it is up to you- what ever you like- it might help you decide if you know how it will be quilted- you might want to use a solid and quilt the center with a special pattern-

    I loved looking at the dresden plate blog; thanks for posting. And it certainly seems to be a sewist's choice based upon the theme or color choices of your quilt. Make use of your design wall to see what grabs your eye. It will jump out at you.

    Wow, Wow, Wow! Thanks for your posting of the board members Dresden Plates site....So many beautiful quilts and some very creative ideas! I guess it is proof positive that you can do most anything as the sky is the limit, and it is truly your choice, your quilt. Thanks!

    Now I have to get to work on my DP's that are antiques. Gifted to me. I think I have enough for at least 3 quilts. My Mom remembers cutting the blades for her Mom and sisters. Alas I do not have any of those quilts! Luann
