She cried happy tears! I don't think I've ever given a quilt that will be used as much as this one will. :-) AND I found fabric for the next one!! Expensive--but gorgeous.

When God tells you someone needs something, and you obey, the blessings on both parties are awesome! So happy to hear you ex SIL is sober and that you can be friends now. The quilt is beautiful, reminds me of autumn on the lake in a log cabin And rag quilts really are the best hug a person can give, or get

I made a ragged flannel for her daughter--my niece--for her wedding--and my friend uses it every time she visits. God told me she needed one of her own. :-)

I chose the fall fabrics because it's what is on her daughter's--but afterwards I discovered her favorite color is blue--and she loves the lake, so the back plan changed.
May God bless you both and keep her strong to stay straight and clean.A little incentive just might help her knowing you still care that much.Good luck to you both.

Is the front (fall colors) done in flannel or regular cotton prints? I take it the back is flannel tho? It is beautiful!

That will make a wonderful gift! Congratulations to her! I know how hard staying sober can be because I have a friend who's been that way for almost 2 years now and it's a struggle each and every day. She's going to love it and she'll think of you every time she uses it.
