Gee what a great recipe to try. No excuse not to make it since I have all of those ingredients at home! Thanks for sharing!

I too love soups, all kinds. Can't eat much cream based soups because of lactose issues...BUT will cheat occasionally ! In my heart and mind there is nothing homier than a pot of home made soup on my stove (or crock pot). I recently made a huge VAT of Italian Wedding Soup with meatballs, chicken, pasta, spinach, etc.....oh how awesome. i think of all soups my all time favorite is just a down home beef vegetable soup with stew beef, carrots, potatoes, celery, beans, etc.....what ever you have left over in the fridge and left over stuff out of the freezer.
Even here in the south, Georgia, we get enough cool days to enjoy pots of soup simmering on the stove......I tend to make a lot of cornbread to go with the soup too.........on special days it will be cracklin cornbread, now that is a treat !

My mom also put in a little cabbage. It makes a big difference

I tried a new (to us) soup tonight and it was really good! Thought I'd post the link for everyone here since soup weather seems to be hanging on above the equator!
