if you use one of those banquet tables where the legs fold and want more height, get some PVC pipe (sturdy weight) from lumber yard and cut (or have them do it) into 4 pieces of the right height and then just slip the pipe onto each leg--it will raise it to the right height and be sturdy. Our Guild does this on work days and it's been such a relief!

It depends on what I am cutting. Anything less than a yard is cut on my sewing/cuttung table. If I have a large project, I use a 30 x 60 table with risers on it. You have to be comfortable whatever you do or you'll get discouraged. Good luck.

When I started my longarm quilting business I was given a cutting table that once was used in a fabric store, I think it as called Sewfro or something like that. That is where I do all of my cutting.

I redid my son's bedroom for a sewing room and had a table that is 36 inches high made for me. It is 36
wide and 72 long and I have a olfa mat that size. If you are going to cut for very long one sure needs to have it the right height for you. Love mine.

I agree the ironing board works great. My husband put an old door on one for me. He then put a few small boards around the ironing board so that the door would stay in place. I can cut on one end and iron on the other. Works great when it isn't piled high with "whatever doesn't have another home".

I use this old Science Table that I found at the Goodwill for $6.99. It is the perfect height and has great storage, the top is heat and cut resistant.

I do my cutting on the Island in the kitchen. It is the right height and my cutting board fits on it just right.
