Your quilt is beautiful!! You did a fantastic job piecing it. I vote to do your binding in pink but doing it with the flange would look really good too. (I had no idea how to do the flange so looked up the tutorial and will probably try it on my next quilt.)

Like your effort and colours. I think it could look nice if you combined all of the scraps from the inside of your quilt and made them into a binding strip. You would be killing two birds with one stone: Get rid of the scraps and add all of the colours to the binding.
As for the quilting, in my opinion, it is harder for a beginner to be accurate enough with SID than it is to do FMQ. Why not attempt a simple diamond grid pattern in the borders? You will need to make sure you alternate the direction of your sewing so that your quilt does not skew in one direction. What ever you decide, make sure you have a practice sandwich to do all of your experimenting on. All the best.

Very nice....you should be proud of yourself. I vote for pink binding and machine quilted. (no patience for hand quilting myself)

If this is your first quilt I would say you have what it takes. Keep up the good work.

What a beautiful quilt for your first quilt. Love the fabrics and colors. I might go with the pink.

Default Love it!

Your quilt is beautiful. You must feel wonderful. I would use the machine to quilt it and pink would look great.
