Please consider donating some of this fabric to the Quilts of Valor foundation: http://qovf.org/. This organization is comprised of many volunteers throughout the nation, some who are retired and living on a tight budget, but who still donate their own money and time to support our injured military men and women. I have a friend in Shepherd, Texas, who is just now starting her own regional group and is desperate for volunteers and fabric. She networks with the Military at Ft. Hood. If you will kindly send me a private message with your contact info, I can forward it to her. Again, please consider this worthwhile organization. Thank you! and God Bless!

Why not donate it to a school? I gave over $3,000 worth of fabrics to a local design program at a community college.

If you don't want to sell it think about donating. I donate fabric and quilt supplies to people who have lost everything in tornados or home fires or whatever, keeps me in control and helps others. Many guilds also make charity quilts, I'm in charge of that at our guild and I love getting free fabric so I can make more quilts! Many quilters have more time than money to purchase and this is a blessing to all.

Default She who has the most fabric when they die,,wins!

Your local Guild is the best place to begin. Just stand up at the next meeting and announce that you are GIVING AWAY fabric and tell them where and when and I am sure that you will soon have to go shopping for fabric again.

At my Guild, a woman who was moving offered her fabric and it was like a swarm of bees decending on her house. The women were over joyed nd especially the "price was right" .
But remember if you do die with all your fabric,,,,YOU WON !!!!!

There are quilting groups at churches everywhere. They usually accept fabrics for their mission projects. Our group accepts all fabrics but after narrowing down to just the 100% usable cottons for our quilts we give to hospitals, crisis pregnancy centers, hurricane relief for victims as well as other disasters, pillows for breast cancer patients and surgical patients as well as Alzheimer's quilts we also use other fabrics for nursing home patients' quilts for their wheelchairs and aprons for their walkers. We sent 38 quilts to a Russian orphanage with my husband and 40 pillowcases to an orphanage in Cozumel with him. The projects are numerous. Surely some groups in your area would appreciate a lovely donation from you. The church would also give you a letter of donation for your taxes if you request it. I forgot to mention our Quilts of Valor as well.

Well I don't have a lot of material because it is too expensive and I seriously can't afford it. There is numerous things you can do with it. Sell part of it, share part of it with someone else, Sew some more of it up. You will be ok. Probably won't die with all of it. I need fabric but I couldn't tell you any certain kind because I have not had enough to learn on. I been tearing up old 100% cotton clothes to try to have some pieces to sew. I do need some 100% cotton Red to finish a quilt top for my daughter. It is for the sashing I think you all call it.
