    Default Advice please

I am thinking of purchasing a Laura Ashley NX 800 for $1099. Does anyone have one and would you recommend it.
Is this a good price? They say it is on sale.

    Thanks for any info, Mary

The Brother's suggested retail price of the NX800 is $1450. So the price is a good deal. The machine is built for Free Motion Quilting. It has the quilting guide, walking foot, auto-thread cutter, top stitching speed of 850 spm, many built in decorative stitches. If at all possible, you should take some fabric and thread with you and go sew on the machine before purchasing. Will it be serviced locally? Do you have your heart set on purchasing this machine? If not, try out some other machines at dealers near you, too. See which ones sew the best for you. It's so exciting to get a new machine. Good luck to you!

Thanks for answering, I went to the only dealer in my area. I bought my innova 250 here 4 years ago. I brought in to get it serviced today because my needle threader stopped working. While I was there I looked at some of the machines. I really liked the one I had, I never had any trouble with it and never had it serviced. I wanted one that would give me more control with free motion quilting. This machine has a lot of nice features. It also has a knee lift and side to side quilting. They offered to take my old machine for $200. which brings the price down to $900. My husband said he would buy it for me, I have until Saturday to make up mymind.
