Quite beautiful! You say that was from your scraps? Nice to do some stash busting. Good excuse to go get more!

OH NO!!! not excuse to go get more!!! i am working on the 'Fabric Moratorium' this year- no fabric purchases before November!
and although i used all batik scraps (except for the scraps of white on whites) i did not put a dent in the 'Batik Tote' i still can not get the lid on it---
my (stash) is large but i have pretty much run out of yardage- i have lots of smaller pieces- you know how you buy one piece of fabric- cut it up & use what you need ---then you have 9 pieces left??? scraps multiply faster than bunnies! so that is my goal for 2012----use up some of those scraps---i don't even look when my favorite shops send me special sale bulletins! no temptations---and this is really helping my savings account! every week that i drive past my favorite lqs with out stopping in i put $50 in my savings account! figuring if i stopped in that would be the minimum i would spend---i have already saved over $400 in 2012 this way! and like i said- i still can not get the top on my tote of batiks...more scrap quilts to come!
