    This is beautiful! What a great mini project. So many possitive aspects beyond its beauty. You get to use up smaller fabric scraps, its quick, you get to practice (for me) free motion quilting, you have something to give friends that like your work with out having to make a larger piece. Thanks for sharing.

    Outstanding tutorial, mug rugs are mini quilts which can give us the opportunity to try new techniques and hone our skills. I love them and have been a number of swaps for mug rugs. Check out The Patchsmith on Craftsy for some of the cutest mug rugs available at an amazingly low cost.
