Lisa, "Goggle" Street Smith Designs Emroidery - there will be many choices. I purchased mine at the LQS and then took the classes to make same. I had absolutely no idea about machine applique using the embroidery module or even machine embroidery. There are photos from another Club Member of the quilt she is doing with this method and the one I am also making. Perhaps she will make note of this reply and give us the page number. If not, I'll go back and find it somewhere among these 105 pages.

Where is everyone? There is nothing happening here. Are we all home stitching? I am working on a Edyta Sitar applique quilt and have 24 of the 25 center blocks completed and now have to do the 25 border applique blocks. What are you working on? Care to share?
This is my favorite thread and have been waiting for someone to post. Note this is my third on this page. It is your turn. Come on Craftybear. We all miss you on this thread.

I have taken time out from my applique quilt to start making Easter bookmarks from an applique pattern for the adults in my church. I am having trouble remembering how to do this on my machine.

Appliques on Clothing
I too have been keeping busy. Trying to get ahead so I don't have to keep stopping to make stuff for the shop. Hopefully the end of this month I'll be back to quilts. In the meantime I'm putting appliques on bibs and clothing, making postcards and the card table playhouses which are almost all applique. There are three finished tops, one at the quilter, and two waiting. Finally, binding to go in the cupcake quilt. Busy!

I love to applique, Have done several quilts, purses, and tons of children's clothes. It so relaxing and I can take it with me especially on long drives and Dr's offices. I do needle turn and love to do blanket stitch. Just watch out it can become habit forming and take over you life but anything in quilting can.

I love the applique on the jacket! Ok, in the interest of sharing, here is what I am working on. The appliques are done, were done before construction and I'm now doing the hand quilting. This is a wilderness quilt for my son & daughter-in-law in flannels and has been a work-in-progress for 2 years. Georgia is too hot to hand quilt flannel in the summertime! I am finding that I should have used a fine silk to applique the first layer, then done the blanket stitch for decoration. The blanket stitch is not holding well in the corners, probably because of the thickness of the flannel. I'm having to go back and re-secure the edges so they won't come undone the first time it's washed.
