I had not heard of the 10 minute block. What a clever idea! I am just washing the fabric today (I am a pre-washer:-) and realize that I will need to do larger pieces to avoid having a piece with just superman's...umm...hips. The fabric from Keepsake came with coordinating solids/small prints, so this weekend I will choose a pattern and let you all know how it goes! thank you all for yor ideas - I was stumped!

I too am making a quilt from Marvel/DC comics fabric here are a few I am considering as the main fabric needs to be cut very large to keep the design.

I like the Twelve Moons pattern the best. With fussy cutting, you'd be able to showcase each of the different super heroes.

I can't wait to see the pattern you choose for that. I think that would be neat to have a quilt like that.

Ok, so I am going with Fat Tuesday - it will be a new pattern for me, I like the idea of a second quilt from the leftovers, AND I went to school in New Orleans (that is probably the deciding factor!). Now I just need to wiat until the pattern arrives....

Another link to look up. Just one of the reasons to be on the QB. Love looking at them.

Ok, it is cut out and 2/3's peiced! I am machine peicing with my beautiful Elna Supermatic, which I actually find easier to work with than either the FW or the 99K. I finally settled on a Swirly Girls pattern, "Perfect Ten", because of the large framed blocks that allowed me to highlight some of the larger patterns. The hardest part was laying it out - it is a pretty busy quilt, and Iwanted it to look at least semi-cohesive! My design wall is our bed, so I need to finish peicing before midnight - back to it!

Someone last year posted a SUPER Superman quilt in either Square in a Square or Warm Wishes. I can't remember which but it was awesome
