Wanda! I LOVE the mummy!! Not too raggedy at all, I personally am in love with the raw edge applique look. Such a great idea!!!

So far as buttons and ric-rac. Flat items like the ric rac or ribbon are fine (won't bother anything when quilting) 3-D things like buttons, just make sure they are on their own strings so people could potentially take them off if they didn't want them there when quilting.

I adore that Mummy, it is so cute! I think the ragged look is what makes him so adorable. I have no trouble with buttons, poor mummy could not see with out his button eyes!

My Halloween blocks are looking good, and as promised on the mystery forest swap, pictures will be a coming~ I am thinking of adding another set! gosh it is hard to do just a few blocks!
