Thank you, dweeks, for your nice compliments! This block is not exactly Aunt Sukey's Choice as the star points around the 4P center block are all solid whereas they are open areas in Aunt Sukey's. I would say it is a variation of the block. I've seen some other blocks similar to this also. Here are a few links for you. The second link is from quiltwoman and her pattern has a square-in-a-square as the center block and its name is "Junk to Jems" pattern and sells for $9. It's the same pattern in Clotilde's Jan.'12 issue and called Junk to Jems. Here are the links:

I've also seen the block where it was not connected to the next block diagonally but had sashings and the blocks were disjoined. I sure like the one I did the most as it eliminates the need for sashing and others may have to square it up, but I sure did not squaring up and loved the way it turned out so nice and square for a change. haha.
