And, there is the fact we're just a nosey lot and want to see what you've created for your partner

JillnJo, As you know my partner Beckie has dropped out because of medical reasons. I have designed her Baltimore Albumn quilt just with her in my mind, so I will finished it and send it to her. I know what she is feeling cause I am dealing with DH having cancer surgery on Monday the 12th. It lasted 11 long hours and my daughter and I were lke basket cases when it was finally done. We found out that the reason it took so long was, they found another cancer in his liver and they had to remove that also. Now the fantastic news is he was up and walking today with the nurses.
Thank you for everyone's prayers and support. I might even be able to get back to my sewing now.
    Carolyn

Great report islandwiz1 so glad he is recooperating quickly. Will keep you in prayers while he finishes healing and going thru treatment. How nice of you to think of Beckie so.

Carolyn, no, I didn't realize the health problems your partner is having and I am so sorry for her. You are very thoughtful to send her the quilt you have made for her! I remember waiting all day during a brain surgery for my BIL, and the news that he would be well blessing all of us who were praying for him, thinking he may have cancer.
I am trusting your DH will continue to improve and feel better day by day! Nancy.

jillnjo, what a beautiful quilt you received from Quiltermomma. Warm soft colours, just right for wrapping yourself up in.

Well, it turns out that it's probably a good thing that my partner probably dropped out of this swap. I had a heart attack on Tuesday evening but I didn't know at the time that's what it was. Then I had another one in the middle of the night/early morning on Wednesday/Thursday. I've never had heart problems before so this totally a new and foreign thing to me. They life flighted me to Kearney, NE Thursday morning and I'm now awaiting a triple bypass on Monday. Funny how life goes sometimes, eh? I'm sure having quilting withdrawals!
