I've always heard that the labor charge for piecing a quilt is 3-4 times the cost of the fabric, but it all depends on the difficulty of the pattern. But I'm not sure if that formula includes the cost of batting or for the cost of quilting it, or would that be an additional charge? And that would not cover the cost if it were hand quilted.
Since she's your sister, you should charge at LEAST the cost of materials. How much do you love her? And how much did she torment you in your youth?? Ha!
