The second one is nice but I like the first one better. There's more contrast (unless you're seeing something we aren't!) Both are pieced beautifully.

I really love the carpenter's star. It isn't that difficult but gives a stunning result. You did good!

You're right. That first one is HIDEOUS. Tell you what... send it to me. I'll take it off your hands so you don't have to be disturbed by it anymore... LOL! JK! I love it! I love both of them! My DD is pestering (ur, I mean "asking nicely"... LOL!) to make her a blue & gray one. I just hope mine turns out a tenth as wonderful as yours did! Thanks for sharing!
