Just saw the trailer for Dark Shadows, it looks to be very funny. He is also slated to be Tonto in a new Lone Ranger movie as well. I like the eclectic roles he takes

I love Dark Shadows and I love Johnny Depp . I'll definately go see it, but it does look disappointing from the Dark Shadows side. Dark Shadows was a creepy, scary soap opera and very serious. (well at least to me when I was watching after school with Mom-hey, I was 10) I'll have to go into it with the understanding it's more of a spoof of Dark Shadows then a true remake. Because the clips are hilarious.

Can't wait to see this movie. I love Johnny Debb, his acting is superb. He makes me laugh (Captain Jack Sparrow) or cry (Edward Sissorhands). I don't think his intentions were to destroy Dark Shadows, I think his intentions are to show a lighter and a different side. And really folks it's up to you if you want to see it or not. And on top of that, how long had it been since anyone had thought of Dark Shadows?....he made you remember, didn't he?

Johnny Depp can do anything! IMO he doesn't know how to give a bad performance. Someone mentioned Sam Elliott. I always felt he should be a bigger star than he is, he's a much better actor than he's given credit for. AND he's super attractive. The original Dark Shadows was fun; hope the remake is too.

Love johnny depp but some things do need to be left alone, really hated charlie and the chocolate factory, original was way better IMHO, but love him in sweeney todd, edward scissor hands, and secret window, he was somewhat cheesy in pirates, and the sequels were quite lame but I still do love him in the proper roles

OMG I use to stay home from school and watch dark shadows, the days it ran early, loved it but this one seams nothing like the old one as it was a soap , but I love jd and the characters he brings to life like no other. yes Im a jack sparrow fan.

Even my dh thought The Tourist was a terrific movie, he didn't even complain when I dragged him to the Pirates movies. I'm looking forward to Dark Shadows and The Lone Ranger.
