Works4Me ... What a different centre star with the batik, gives it some movement and into a different dimension ... I really like the look of it! I haven't worked much with batiks but am becoming quite attracted to them as I see more and more items done with them. So can see me doing a project with them sometime.

Thanks. It's not quite as vibrant as I expected. There is more contrast in real life than with the photo and I am happy with it.

I have a lot of batiks in my stash. Let's face it, I have a lot of everything in my stash.

Why do you do that with your stash, I am sure none of the rest of us do that, lol.

I want you to know that my DH saw what you all have done and the differents colors you all used. He took me to walmart to buy more fabric so I can make a bigger one(queen size). Only requirement was, it had to be mulit colored. SO each star is a different color combo.

Wow, love how all these blocks are turning out. Mine is from scraps. I thought I had run out of the dark purple and found the pink. So I used that and then found a nice long scrap of the purple. Oh well, now I have some for the next steps if I need them. So, my stars are 2-toned.

And here's what I did with the scraps. For those of you who don't like to tear apart the design in your brain and figure out what size the pieces are.....I took the large triangle pieces and sewed them together into rectangles then cut them each down to 3.5 x 6.5. Then I sewed them together in contrasting pairs and sewed those squares together. The result is a 12.5" block. Don't know what I'm going to do with it yet, but I rather like it.

Foxflower, you are one creative person. I think it is really neat what you came up with for the leftover scraps! That is simply stunning!

Thank you Jeanie. It is really satisfying to use the scraps up. They still multiply, but not as fast as if I use them project by project and then include them with the project they match.
