All my F8s were mailed out today. Received them from Bibliostone and Mosher92. Loved the fabric for the disabled vets and will try to do it proud as military means a lot to me!

Received 5 more today from mosher92, charlottemarie, dove 911, jaba and abby's mom. I am amazed at the number of fabrics I have not seen before. I can't wait to get started. Saturday is my sewing day.

    Hey Y'all,
Just curious as to how you keep up with all the fabric you are now receiving? Here's how I did it for boom 6, my first boom. After marking the date I received it on the spreadsheet, I put the fabric, any note and the envelope in a large ziplock bag. Then I go thru my stash to see what matches and add that to the ziplock. Then I put all the filled ziplocks in a basket to keep together. That way everything is together and all I have to do is pull out a baggie when I am ready to sew!

Today I received squishies from CharlotteMarie, jaba, Mosher92, NCquilter, systraley

Some of you should start receiving my fat8ths tomorrow. If you click on the "boom7"link below
you can see a picture of the fabrics I sent out.

    Have fun!

I mailed all but 5 F8s out on monday. I apologize in advance. Some of the F8s are a little short - hard to find fabric that is 44-45" wide anymore AND they include the selvage add in that the lady at the cutting table doesn't square up the fabric before cutting. I'm getting better cuts from the fabric I order on line and they have no customers standing there watching them! I've been happily impressed with my on line purchases. I think I'm going to do it more and more.

    received F8s from:
    jaba
    ljdugas
    dove911
    Abby's Mom
    abonda
    Cyndi H
    goldendog55
    Scrapquilt
    sustraley
    Mosher92
    CharlotteMarie

I'm loving all the different fabrics

Worked on my third block today. Sewed it, unsewed part of it and sewed it again. It is FINALLY in the envelope ready to mail tomorrow. It is going west. Hope you like it!! ( I hate to unsew) LOL

The machines around me must love to eat the envelopes-I have had to pay postage due on a few envelopes that have "tread" marks on them-the envelopes were taller than the 1/4" permitted by the 45 or 65 stamp. The clerk at my post office told me that the 45 stamp was for paper correspondence, nothing else-and they are pretty strict. I found a larger envelope, business sizes (for the F8ths) or 4 X 6 (for the finished blocks-those seams can get thick!)work well and I've been able to send them off for regular postage. Flatter is better
So the problem is that the post office employees all interpret the "rules" differently. It really chaps my hide when MY post office employee accepts my envelope for mailing - says it's fine, and some smart aleck on the other end takes it upon himself/herself to disagree and force the receiver to pay postage due. There is absolutely nothing I can do about it on my end. I'm not going to overrule my guy just because someone else on the other end might. The 45¢ stamp is for any envelope that fits through the template - not just paper. It says so on the template. You could have plastic, leather, fabric, anything you want - in the envelope - as long as it fits through the template. Why have a template if you're just going to make up your own rules? Ack. At any rate, I have yet to pay postage due here on my end, and I hope no one's had to pay it for mine on your end.
