Embellishing a crazy quilt is gonna be so hard for me...I can do crazy blocks in a quilt so will that do (with maybe a tiny bit of embellishment). Maybe I could see what other stitches my machine will do, so far I have only discovered straight stitch and zigzag and it says it can do over 150

Have just about finished quilting my April DQ

Don't get crazy about the crazy quilt. It doesn't have to be a true crazy quilt. It can be a crazy spin on any other type of block - just make it wonky. I forget where I saw it, but there was a tutorial on how to start one using foundation piecing. In the middle you start with a 5 sided piece of fabric and then just build around it from there. And ... speed demons ... we aren't even in April yet!!!

As one of the "Speed Demons" who has their April DQ finished - let me just say that I am going to need the extra time for the May - AAQI donation DQ as well as the crazy quilt.
The AAQI size is smaller than I normally do so it is taking some special planning and I am so controlled that I am having a challenge trying to come up with something "crazy".

This is my first doll quilt swap, too. I've only made rag and crazy doll quilts so far, so it will be my first quilt that isn't one of those, actually I haven't decided that it won't be one of those yet..so we shall see....

Craftykk whatevery style you decide on will be fine. April is the "two color" challenge (optional) month - and May is the "crazy" challenge month. We like to talk ahead.

Thanks, Robin. I guess I better use google and quick! I didn't even realize May was Crazy Quilt month. Since I have never made one I am sure glad it can be small to start with. This must mean I can stick some jewels on it, right? Knew I bought that jewel sticker-oner for something, bought it and never used it.
