Good for you for reuniting a grandson with a cherished memory! What a warm hearted woman you are. We are so lucky to have you on the Quilting Board.

The world is a village! (I live in Germany) I have a lot of templates made years (decades!) ago by Roy Daniel for me when I started to teach myself patchwork. My templates may be an oddity since I started out with centimeters before I found that using inches is so much easier.

Great story and great ending. So glad you were able to send some to him. It is a small world.

Very touching story. Reminds me of some of the things I have that my Grandfather "whittled". And for those of you who don't know what that is its carving wood with a small pocket knife. He made all kinds of things that would be one piece but looked like several pieces joined together.

What a wonderful thing to happen! I'm so glad you sent the templates to his grandson. You're pretty special in my book.
