Default Have been gone a long time.

    Hi -
I have been gone from here for about 9 months now- been busy working on my doctorate. Lots of reading and papers while working full time so no real time to spend cruising here. I have occasionally looked at some of your quilts- gorgeous things- and wishing I had time to stitch again. But not for awhile. Even so, I do check in - just quietly.

Congratulations on working on your doctorate. Seems that quilting will still be there when you can do it...sometimes it seems we have seasons in our lives, and this is your schooling season.

Thanks for checking in and updating us. My hats off to you for working for your doctorate! Wish I would have had the brains and drive to get a good education. Good for you!

Cheryl, I always said that if I had been able to quilt my doctorate instead of writing it, I would not have been ABD at all! alas, it took a few years after completing all my coursework and clinical training, but I got it and now? I quilt all I can! good luck to you. It will be over and you'll be so proud of yourself. What is the doctorate in? Mine is clinical psych.

Thanks for the encouragement. My doctorate is in nursing. Now that it's spring, I'm using most of my free time to garden- but hopefully in another year, I'll stitch again. One good thing- I've not bought any fabric!!! so my stash remains the same- huge and waiting for me to use it. Congrats on your clinical psych degree. Nice!
