It's one of the prettiest log cabin designs I've seen. I love the star center! Just a thought: if you are going to have it in the camper you may need to take extra care to keep it from getting sun-bleached. It's far too pretty to have it at risk!

This is a great pattern/arrangement. Very good job. We really like it.

This lc is beautiful! I haven't seen one that's looked like this before. I really like how you turned some of them to make the arrangement unique! LOVE IT!

A red may work really well, but just a bit of advice. Do not sew it on until you have auditioned the outer border. Especially if you are limited in your fabric choices using the fabric in your stash - you might change your mind. Usually the quilt will speak to you (I know this sounds nuts) - but when you have the right combination you will know - let it rest overnight and check it again in the morning. There are times I have found a fabric I really loved and thought of an inner border - and - when the inside of the quilt was finished - the fabrics I picked for the inner/or outer just did not work.

Really, really pretty! You'll enjoy that when you travel. Moi - I'd have it on MY bed in MY bedroom, so I could enjoy it every single day!
