I was getting concerned about my other pincushion making it to it's new home. It was mailed on the 30th, went West of me, but at the rate it's taking to get to where it needs to be, I could have driven there faster.. Sorry you're having to wait, maybe it'll be worth the wait - I hope you think so. Not quite sure I understand WHY it's in California as of this morning.

YIPEE!!! I rec'd my pincushy today.... I was CALLA s partner and she sent me the cutest little decorated tin with a velvet hat on top as the pincushy. She posted a photo some where on the thread, cause I remember seeing it. She also enclosed the cutest FROG socks, a tiny quilted sq. magnet, a snickers candy bar( MY FAVORITE), some caramel wearthers, ( gave those to the hubby), and a pretty crocheted wash cloth... We named the pinc... "TIN-PIN" as it also had a few pins enclosed... a very fitting name!! IT is so cute . For now It is placed inside a cabinet where I have several gifts from the QB swappers, that I LOVE To look at and think about the hands that made the treasures be thankful for so many unknown, but commom quilter friends. Hope that makes some sense!!! Thank you so much... made my day!
( my partner should have rec'd hers yesterday or today... in Missouri !!!) Everyhonje has made such cute pincushions!!

I am like you Donna, I like all of the pin cushions. They are each so nice and different, and that is what is so fun about these swaps, and getting to see all the different ones made.

I am sure the turtle has gotten close to my swap partners, or at least the one not on the coast line but maybe had trouble getting up the hills there. I will check again tomorrow, I know you should get them for sure then.

That is cute Rhonda. When he saw the word FRAGILE on my package, my DH said, "Do you know what the P.O. worker would say when he sees that word?" I asked him what and he said, "Why don't you package is so that it won't get broken?" I told him I would tell the postal worker that it was hard to protect a package contents when you drive a fork lift over it. Thanks again.

[QUOTE=rwquilts;5192888]Twinkie, I'm so glad you like what I sent and that the teacup didn't break! Funny story...you saw how I'd written all over the package "fragile" right? When up at the counter with the postal worker...he says...is there any liquid, flammable, perishible, fragile...etc...the same thing they always say...I automatically say..."no"...to which he grins at me and says..."except fragile"? LOL! Ooops!
