FMQ on the Singer XL6000?

FMQ on the Singer XL6000?
Has anyone had experience free motion quilting on the Singer XL6000? I want to Free Motion Quilt, but don't want to buy the special darning foot if others have had problems.
This machine does a beautiful job embroidering, has so many nice features but haven't tried the FMQ. I want to FMQ as my hand quilting takes so much time and isn't that even.
