Default The Oldest Sewing Machine in Our Collection.

This is the oldest machine we have in our collection. You may have seen it before when I posted it on an antique thread, but I am so proud of it and can't wait until we finish refurbishing it. It is an 1852 Grover and Baker Treadle machine. It is in good condition, just needs to be polished and cleaned.

The American Encyclopedia if Vintage and antique machines values it at around $1,000. The cabinet is Walnut and is in great condition. The wheel on the machine moves freely so we feel it will clean up nicely. This is another one I have. It needs a lot of work but it is called a "Salesman" machine and is the sample the salesmen took to the farmhouses to show how a machine worked.

It needs a lot of work to refurbish it but this is what it will look like when we are done (hopefully except for the decals)

It is a Foley and Williams brand.
