Hello everyone! I just found this site today and saw this post. I happened to have just finished a small patriotic wall hanging for a quarterly swap that I do with some friends. I liked it so much I made a second one to keep. LOL As soon as I figure out how to post pics I will share. And I think I may have some that I took of the "during" process as well. I loved looking at everyone's projects. They are all so inspiring!

Muv I can't wait ta see what your's looks like.
When my boy's would get old enough ta look close, I'd ask 'em ta go & pick me a pretty purple flower.
When they'd get close ta 'em they'd tell me "no." My boy's are 8 yrs. apart so I got ta do it twice. Mean ol' Mama.

The initial idea that Works4Me and I had for our own projects were to get them done for this Canada Day ... instead of having them on the back burner for another year!!! that's really how it all got started, and we thought, why not get others in on it too! So that's the idea ... though we know that many will not have their projects done and that's OK too!!

If we have helped to spark some interest and get some Patriotic Projects going, then that's all good! Remember, it's all for fun .... and the Challenge is merely to do something, sometime!

Muv is doing a wonderful Diamond Jubilee Quilt and I know her goal is long after and I'm sure she'll continue to give us updates as she progresses. And I know I for one, will continue to be here to cheer her on. I hope others will too.

Likewise, I'm sure there are many others who will do International Patriotic Projects long past this Canada Day ... so DebQuilts! please do tell us, what are you planning?
