Thumbs up Turning Charms On Point

I've made several table runners from this technique. Easy-peasy, good for scraps, novelty or holiday!

On her site, she also has a table runner she did this way. Can't wait to try it.

It doesn't have to be 8 x 12 - just so long as it's rectangular. I demonstrated this technique at the May meeting of my Quilt Guild using batik charm squares but haven't finished it beyond making the top yet. Guess I should do that!

I've done a pattern like this before. There's a whole line that has you piece a rectangular center and then slice and resew to get the squares on point. It's a quick way to make an on point setting, but you lose the points of the squares on the edge once you add your borders and/or binding. Unfortunately for me, losing those points was too much of an irritation and I never made another one. So if having those points matters to you, don't use this method.
