The Most Incredible No So Random Act of Kindness
As most of you know, the month of May usually gets me really depressed. I love my husband, but suspect that he might have been raised by wolves because he really hasn't picked up on how to celebrate special days. And he seems to have passed the tradition onto our son. Nonetheless, I decided that I was going to be exceptionally happy no matter what. This May was a little bit of a challenge since I am turning 60 on Tuesday. Now how the heck did that happen? I guess it's better than the alternative!
On Saturday morning, my husband said, "You have a package ..." I saw Brenda's return address on it and even though I was already in a great mood, that made my smile even wider. The first thing I saw when I opened the box was a card with a photo of a dirt mouthed dog ... and that got me laughing hysterically.

Then I opened the card and started to read all the names of the most wonderful people I have ever had the honor of meeting on this board. I was so completely stunned. I can't even describe what I was feeling ... overwhelmed, grateful, amazed, awed ... for a writer to be at a loss for words ... well you can't begin to imagine the effect it had on me!

In case you can't read them ...

HUGS, HUGS, and MORE HUGS to All of You!
There were more cards, too!
And some coffee and tea.
I noticed some was decaf. I guess someone thinks I need to calm down!

After the layer of cards ... here's what the box looked like.
I guess I was making some strange noises because my husband ran into the living room to see if I was OK.

As Brenda wrote, 60 FQs are better than 60 candles ... and I think there are a LOT more than 60 but I haven't counted. How can you count kindness?
Layer One

Layer Two

Layer Three!

There was a special panel of Our Lady of Guadalupe from Quilty-Louise.

And, of course, some monkey fabric!

You are soooo welcome, and hope the smiles continue for you. Go around with a grin on your face, and everyone will wonder what you're up to..;o), and have a great birthday - it's all good - and get those 'senior' discounts and SMILE - think of all you've done to get to this point (age)..you've earned every year.
Hugs

Happy, Happy Birthday K - hope you have a great day. Every day is a gift - when I was 50 I celebrated for the friends who would never have another birthday. There are lots of us older than you, so enjoy your youth!!!!
