teals to gray.. or maybe rust tones, making it look old industrial. Oh I can see this in a lot of color ways! Mainly monochrome though..

Really love the design. Since I'm a bright colors kind of gal, all I see are bright solids, maybe a few strips thrown in here and there. For me, any colors you choose, this quilt will be amazing. Can't wait to see what you do with the design.

The design lends itself to be a monochromatic color scheme or at least pulling from a single quadrant of the color wheel. I absolutely love the natural stone colors you pictured in tan, taupe and grays. But this design would also work quite well by picking a quadrant of the color wheel that you like and going to town. I can easily envision this design done all in warm colors of just shades of reds, oranges and yellows and creamy tans. I can also see it done in varying shades of green from a deep dark almost black pine green ranging all the way up to a yellow/green with everything in between. As long as you have good strong contrast in the areas that call for it, I think any color scheme would work.

I like the blue and orange theme. Neutrals seem like a good palette as well. I think that even greens and browns with a touch of yellow and deep reds or purples for the light and shadow effects (respectively) will work well too? It will be interesting to see what you decide. I look forward to seeing the finished quilt!

I found it here: http://pinterest.com/pin/230809549622889693/ I'm thinking sandy colours, a bit of pale orange, some deep blue for small darker areas.... I struggle so much with colour!!! Thanks for the suggestion for neutrals. I'll post what I can as it progresses. Laura
