I have attached a picture where hopefully you can see what I mean. Im not sure it's closeup enough. It's a WIP in that picture, but now all of the blocks have been done and sewed together in rows and now I'm in the process of quilting it. I hope this helps. I LOVE scrappies!
That is beautiful! It's great to have a visual! Thanks!

Absolutely beautiful scrappy Log Cabin! I hope Rubesgirl gets some inspiration from your picture.

**********I think your quilt picture is the perfect example of scrappy ! look at all the colors on each side. the secret
is using darks & lights in all values. I think the most accurate log cabin blocks are done using pre-cut strip sizes. but,
that takes a lot more time. pressing (not ironing), frequent squaring up are good things to do. hardly ever see an ugly
log cabin quilt ! Have fun.

Dunster, your quilts are beautiful, and your favorite is also mine. I have made several scrappy log cabin quilts, but I think you loose the secondary pattern if you don't do light and dark. The scrappy quilts are very pretty, but to me are different from original log cabin quilts. You can go either way and they are all nice. I think it all depends on the look you are going for. Log cabin quilts are fun to make.
