Charisma, Again you have blown my mind with your quilting .... and the piecing is great too, of course. So, could you "talk" a little about how you did that quilting in the white border? Do you start on one side and do continuous line quilting up one side then across the top then down the other and back across the bottom? How do you move from one design to the next and do you just "wing" the designs? I have way too many questions to ask so I should just come visit you. lol, just kidding .... well, just kidding that I am coming not that I don't want to do so! So maybe you could just do a short step by step "dissertation" about how you get started on that border and how you move around the quilt and whether you use a straightedge to do the straight lines and how you free motion the little swirly designs and ..... Sorry! Just any tidbits you can think of to pass out to a wannabee. I know your time is precious what with all you do but anything about this quilting that you can pass on would be so appreciated. Thanks .... and so sorry about going on and on.

    Hi KLO,
First of all thanks so much for your kind words..LOL
Second..I don't mind answering questions at all....I like to help anyone..that's why we are all here to help eachotehr and inspire eachother.

yes I did use a straight edge ruler for my straight lines....everything else is freehand.
I didn't have a specific design or pattern in my mind it was all improv. I just kind of made it up as I went. A few diagnal lines here..then if I think it needs a loopy here..then a few more lines going the opposite way...( that is how my brain works...little insight..lol ..can't focus clearly as well as some..who are left brain thinkers...cause I am a right brainer.) I jsut pinned it on and started and the top ..then worked my way down. That's usually how I work on everything. Unless I change trhead colors or something. That is not the case here.I don't have a video camer ( I know I am technology challenged anyway) but I have been thinking of doing videos for quite some time....I have a website listed in my signature..I post all of my quilts there....and it has my email..in case you need to ask any otehr questions.
    Thanks.

    Blessings, Charisma

That is the grat thing about getting all these scrappies back..I get to practice my quilting and also have donation quilts ect.
But I also love to see what other people come up with my fabric..pretty amazing!
It's always like Christmas for me.
Anyway..I am going to enter this in my local quilt show...and also another one in the fall in the bigger city....of course all credit will go to Harmony for peicing....Thanks so much for looking!
You simply amaze me. I bought a long arm over a year ago and I can't get myself to try anything new. I love the meanering look but I need to venture out. You have inspired me.
