Hey Karla!! I just read thru this whole thread and I can't believe I never posted on it before!! Your quilt is stunning and I love it!!! I saw where you say the darks are 1.5" and the lights are 1" strips.... but how long do you make each strip? Did you come up with it on your own, or do you just follow a general log cabin "pattern" as far as the cutting instructions go?

I'm going to start making some of these blocks in between other projects and one day I will have enough for a whole quilt!

I've actually found two quilt ideas that are totally scrappy, yet with a theme..... your floral log cabin is one of them! And the other is a bright polka dot star type pattern.... every single fabric on it is polka dots, lights, darks and ToT's. :)

I am in awe! I is so beautiful! Imagine, a log cabin that looks so delicate...French provincial almost! Take your bow...you are truly an artist!

hey barn, i just have a question about the way you put your logs together. do you cut each log to length or do you sew by strip piecing ala eleanor burns? just curious.
oh yes, just to remind you of how much i love this quilt. i could easily see you getting $1200.00 for it. one of my all time favs. :!:  :!:  :!: :!: :!:

Beautiful....I especially like the layout you used. There's so many ways to lay out the log cabins. Continues to amaze me. Yours is amazing... :)
