This is looking fantastic... I'm loving seeing each step. When I'm doing a block with lots of pieces like that, I lay it out exactly the same, and do one block at a time. Once I'm feeling confident though, I'll put a couple of blocks on top of each other..... lay out the little pieces the same but instead of one four patch, put two or three on top of each other. Then work through the pieces the same.

Well, I am taking a break, I just had to rip out a long seam, my 1/4 in seam wasn't right   So, out it had to come. the thing about a pattern like this, there isn't a lot of room for mistakes.
I am thinking about maybe making another, but in a dark brown and white, but not until the first of next year.
Cutebuns, no it doesn't come in a smaller square, but I'll bet you could come up with a smaller one! :D
Blue, I would stack mine also, but this dog of mine has a tendency to walk past and knock everything off, so i stick with one.
