Ninnie - Thanks for your ongoing pictures and instructions. I can't wait until I see your finished quilt. When I saw your jar of dog ears it reminded me of a container of them I had a long time ago. I got tired of cutting them square and tossed them out. If I hadn't been such a nitwit then, I could put them next to my glass bowl full of wooden spools, a jar of old silk threads and another full of threads ravelled from old bobbins.
