    Default Fusible New York Beauty

I have been wanting to make a New York Beauty quilt, but really, really don't like PP'ing, so I am doing mine with fusible and machine quilting. Has anyone else tried this? Let me know if you have.

I'm not brave enough! If it looks good to you..... it works! Give it a whirl and let us know how it turns out!

    Ok

What do you mean by fusible?
Will every thing have raw edges?
    I do like your colours

It's so interesting to see a new approach to an intricate pattern. It looks great, have fun with all that zig-zagging!

Love NYB's. It's worth your try. IMO would work best if it's to be a wall hanging and you edge stitch and/or all-over quilting to secure. Brings to mind what I do on McKenna Ryan patterns, so why not? Would appreciate knowing how it works for you.

If this is a photo of yours then just go for it! It's very eye-catching and sure seems to be working well! Congratulations

I think it looks terrific! I love the look of New York Beauty, but it's so labor intensive that I've not yet found the time to tackle it. Your method should be a time saver yet it wouldn't sacrifice the look. Will it have the stained glass effect of black "lead" around all of the pieces? I don't know about you, but I prefer to do hours of zig zag stitching around the edges rather than hours of picking out teensy bits of paper.

It looks great to me. That's a nice alternative.
