Oh my---just beautiful. I see a darker outside border--next to a narrower light one ---to "hold it all in" --- just my thought.

That is exactly what I did and I do like the looks of the darker outer border. I left the yellow border 4" so it still makes a statement.
Thanks to everyone for your lovely comments. I really am happy with how it turned out, in spite of the tears and ripping that were a part of making it happen!

Love, love your top....it looks fantastic... I like the light border but I personally think it needs a dark for binding to finish...
Could you share the name of the pattern... looked and can't find on web...
    Thanks for sharing...

Very pretty! I think I'd have added a narrow black border before adding the lighter border, but, as Peggy suggested, it would make a nice area for the LAQ to do something special, so maybe bind it in black to pick up the black in the background fabric?

I love the floaty feeling of the quilt and I like the broader border.

I agree with you. This quilt really demonstrates how the placement of colors can totally change the end result of a block. I haven't made a "Thinking Outside the Box", but looks like this one is moving up higher on my Bucket list.

It may not be what you envisioned, but it turned out pretty amazing. I think your borders are fine.

Beautiful quilt and I like the idea of just binding it in a darker colour
