Keep watching this and have soooo much fall fabric, just 1 question, when we send our blocks in, do we get 1 of our own back?? Also, if we send all 12 1/2" blocks, if someone sends all 6 1/2" is it an even trade 1 for 1 or would we receive 2 for 1? Don't know so have to ask, always been in them where they are the same size.

Well, there are some one size block swaps on the quiltboard. In a funky swap, we just trade block for block. No matter what the sizes. But, many times it is just as much fun that way because of all of the intricate blocks and embroideries by the differnt swappers. It is fun to put them todether and to figure out the settings. Check out some of the old Funky swaps that are closed, many of the gals show and tell the tops when they are finished with them.

You do not get your own blocks back if it can be helped. Sometimes the swap is so small it can't be helped. But, that isn't a worry with this swap so far.

I hope this helps you some.

Join in the fun and get in on some of the social aspects of the board. You will enjoy making friends with the gals here. They are fun and generous.

Every block swap I have been in, we've made one of our own for our selves. So, if a set is 6, I'd made 7 and swap 6. When I am done I have one each of what I made, and the swapped blocks. HTH.

You both answered my questions, thank you. Will have to see what I can come up with, want to make sure I can get them done. All the embroidery and applique I've seen so far are beautiful but don't feel I'm that talented yet to swap them. Is just pieced blocks okay? and if you'd rather not have them that's okay too. You won't hurt my feelings or anything so please be honest.

Please see page16 jaba. I made a pieced block as one of my sets. Also, there is a pieced leaf block by homespunhandmaiden on page five, and my turkey is pieced with a tiny bit of applique. This is a quilt board and we love pieced quilt blocks as a swap block!

Don't think that you aren't experianced enough. Just begin and see what you can do. We have all levels of quilter's in our swaps. It is a social event for us to get to know each other and it is so fun to have blocks made by our buddies on the board.

It is pretty amazing what our swappers do and share. I have learned so much just from looking at the blocks from everyone else. You could too.

Jaba, I love the pieced blocks. I thought I was going to make mostly pieced, but somehow I just got on a brain roll and it was applique this time. Have fun.
