    I am waiting for mine to arrive..its in at my local post office as of this morning..so not sure it will be delivered today or tomorrow.

    I was wondering if anyone else has Ken's quilting frame? Here it is below if you don't know what I'm talking about...

    Yea..it came today!! I'm sure my sweet husband will get the poles I need and have it set up for me this weekend. I will post here all about it. Pictures to follow!!

    Wow! It looks amazing! Thanks for posting the photo! I will be very interested to find out how smoothly it works. I have been looking at this one, among others.

    So this is a system to use with a "regular" sewing machine not a long arm???

    Yes. The carriage is sized for regular domestic sewing machines and other short-arm machines. It's designed to be placed on a table for sit-down work, which means the cord for the foot pedal on regular machines is long enough to reach the floor. It will hold a machine with up to a 9-inch harp, which includes some of the faster straight-stitch machines such as the Brother PQ1500S, Juki 2010Q, etc. which sew up to 1500 or 1600 stitches per minute. The harp size (distance from needle to righthand post of machine) on my Bernina 1230 is only 6.5", and it probably sews about 600-800 stitches per minute max.

    How is everyone else that bought Ken's quilting frame doing???? Are you using it? I am going to put a real quilt on mine next week and quilt it. I did two practice ones and I figure sooner or later I have to jump in and just quilt for "real". The quilt I am going to do I got the blocks from a 1930's reproduction fabric block swap many years ago. So it's time to quilt it. I like the quilt but it isn't a favorite so I am willing to do that one first.

    I was wondering how everyone else is doing?

    I do not have the ken's quilting frame. At one time I did have the Handiquilter Frame - which was also designed for domestic sewing machines. I had a Juki 98e (9 in harp) on the frame. I eventually threw away the frame. Even with the Juki, if you are quilting a queen size quilt, by the time you get to the middle of the quilt (or a little farther) you only have a couple of inches of room for quilting because the takeup arm is inside the arm of the machine. So if you were trying to quilt a block design you can not complete the entire design of the block in one pass. I found it to be too limiting.
