This story warms the cockles of my heart!!! What wonderful shared memories for the two of you which you will NEVER forget. You have given her such a wonderful gift -- your time.

I sent her a big box of strips/jelly rolls and her finished quilts, I droped it off at the mail on my way home from the airport. She is too young to use a rotary cutter.

I also think it is great that you are teaching her something while actively interacting with her. Neat.

Plus, she will feel good about herself because of what she knows and not just what she looks like. So many of this age of girl have issues because of body changes, feelings of insufficiency, etc. I've long thought if our girls were taught to do things instead of just being "beautiful", they'd actually enjoy life instead of having so many emotional crises.

Thanks so much for posting the pictures. She looks so happy for what she has done--and you should be glad too--congratulations!
