Beautiful table and barn. I have an idea. How about all of us ladies have a barn raising? lol....until we all have one, and we can use our left over wood for a table like that. Hi Cooter.

LOVE,LOVE,LOVE your table and want to try one like it. Figure I can find an old table and use the top but how did you attach the shelf that holds the machine? Got the plexi insert already so hate to buy a regular machine cabinet which it prob. would not fit in. ruth

RuthV - It was easy to attach the shelf for my machine because the whole top was made out of 1" thick boards. With using 1" thick boards, that gives you some room/depth to screw/attach the shelf on. The whole table top was made out of 1" thick boards so I was able to screw right into it. The table is Super duty sturdy, but it is really heavy, that's a good thing I guess for me cuz I don't plan on moving it anytime soon!

Wow! What a great sewing room. All I can say is that if your quilting efforts turn out as great as your woodworking skills...we are all in for some fabulous treats of the pictures you post. I am up for a retreat at your place, too! Just kidding. Thanks for sharing you wonderful talents with us. I still think you need a cat, too...to complete the picture.
