My book came from amazon. It seems like it will be scrappy for me. All of those bins need to be put to use, so I feel free to buy more fabric. Will try to generally stay with 30/40's hues when possible, but.... Still need to find background and sashing, but there must be some somewhere in all that fabric.

I thought they were kind of neat and if anyone is doing the quilt, then perhaps they'd want this fabric to add to their inspiration. Perhaps a bag to store all in, between work sessions?

I received my book the other day and took it to a friend to try to enlist her to join us, too! Patricia Faye, I like your fabrics, patriotic with a bit of other interest, too. I will be using a very scrappy mix of charm squares from my stash.

My book just got here. Oh, my! This looks hard. I've never done paper piecing before. How many copies of each pattern should I make? Are we just doing one block per week. I might be able to manage that - just barely.

Can anyone suggest an easy pattern to practice my pp skills before I start on the real thing? TIA.
