How about a gold for sashing in Christmas version?

That is just tooooo cute! What a fun way to use up stash. For your Christmas one, I would get all your pieces out and step back and see what would stand out. Sometimes there are more blues, or golds, in the collection. That might be a place to start. Can't wait to see what you do!

Very pretty! For the Christmas one I'd use a pretty gold fabric or maybe a cream with a gold pattern.

Wow!...so clean, crisp and elegant! It reminds me of an afternoon tea party with my friend Chris, whom I have not seen in about 5 yrs. Those were the days when the children took naps and the moms could just visit.
Who knew a little quilt could conjure up such happy moments. I love it! Thanks for sharing.

How about silver as the sashing?

I made a christmas bed quilt using this pattern and most of my reds and greens had a touch of gold in them so I didn't want to use gold, as I thought it would blend too much. I chose a solid-reading black and thought the results were beautiful. Since that quilt, I've used black as a background or sashing on a number of Christmas projects and I've never been disappointed.

A real beauty. Love your color selection. Love Eleanor Burns, too.
