I have been following all of you who have Embrid, so I went to
their website to learn more about it.

But since I already have Floriani Digitizing Suite Pro I don't think
I want to invest another $160+ into another program that I am
going to have to learn. Maybe someday AFTER I learn Floriani.

QuiltyLouise,
An lqs near me is offering Floriani Embroidery class for $30. Its in Oct. and I wanted to know if its worth it. I've never used Floriani but I've heard good things about it. I own a Babylock Ellure Plus and would love to this 4 hr. course and the price isn't bad. Let me know.

I just took it 2 weeks ago. In ours we rec'd a box: In it contained 10 big rolls of thread, 5 disks with emb patterns, samples of stablelizers and many other things. I leared a lot about stablelizers and they talked a lot about Their programs. I did not buy anything as I already have embird for my program and am well supplied with stablelizers.

I get together with several friends each month and we have a gal that teaches something new each month. I learn so much from her.

Almond,
were the courses easy to follow? I like the idea since I am a hands-on and visual person. I don't know of one person that I know of that owns an embroidery machine I figured for the price it wouldn't be so bad.

quiltnut - I took a 3 hour class back in June it cost me $15, I did NOT learn
as much as I should of (it was the instructor not very good). Later the same
evening I did a 1 hour Floriani webinar that I had signed up for given by Walter
Floriani himself and I learned MORE in that one hour, he is the kicker the webinar
was FREE.

I am signed up for 2 more classes this year. The first one is on September 18 and
the title of this webinar class is called "I can Digitize and Sew Can You". The second
class is December 11 and the title is "Floriani Tip and Tricks".

There are SEVERAL webinars posted for FREE viewing at FLORIANI I think you
have to register, but not sure.

Check it out see if they are useful to you. Only sad thing is you can't download
the webinars.

I'm taking the class next month and it cost 30 but you get close to 600 in free stuff; that sounds like a no brainer. I've heard a lot of people talk about this class and normally it's really good and you learn a lot. If I learn nothing all that thread, the designs and stabliziers, etc it'll be worth a wasted trip but I'm expecting good things.

Hi, I'm pretty sure this is a lecture based program. They will talk about the software and provide discussion of stabilizers, then show samples of items made with different stabilizers. Well worth the money.

I took the class, I am doing it again in sept. I know I missed a lot and did not take good notes. Thread and designs alone were worth it.

Where did you take this class at?

Only classes I have seen/heard about are the ones that my local
dealer offers that someone who went to Floriani for training did.

Is there another venue for taking classes? I would LOVE to find one
of those classes.
